Description
A cozy, elegant skillet dip of blistered cherry tomatoes drizzled with hot honey and crowned with silky burrata, perfect with crusty bread.
Ingredients
- Cherry tomatoes: 3 cups
- Olive oil: 3 tablespoons
- Garlic: 3 cloves, minced
- Crushed red pepper flakes: 1 teaspoon
- Honey: 3 tablespoons
- Fresh burrata: 8 ounces
- Fresh basil: 1/4 cup, chopped
- Kosher salt: 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper: 1/4 teaspoon
- Crusty bread or crostini: for serving
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Combine tomatoes, olive oil, garlic, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper in an oven-safe skillet. Toss to coat.
- Spread tomatoes in an even layer so they roast uniformly.
- Roast for 20 to 25 minutes, until tomatoes blister and begin to burst.
- Stir honey with a pinch of extra chili flakes to make hot honey.
- Remove skillet, drizzle hot honey over tomatoes, and nestle the burrata in the center.
- Top with chopped basil and serve hot with crusty bread.
Notes
- Warm the burrata slightly at room temperature so it melts into the tomatoes.
- Toast bread with a light brush of olive oil for extra crunch.
- Adjust heat by increasing or decreasing chili flakes.
- Leftovers are great on toast, flatbreads, or scrambled eggs.
