Description
A rich, ultra-chocolatey quick bread that combines the dense, fudgy texture of brownies with the structure of a loaf cake. Hot Fudge Brownie Bread is swirled with gooey fudge sauce and perfect for dessert or an indulgent snack.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup hot fudge sauce (plus more for drizzling)
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter and sugar until smooth.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.
- Stir in hot fudge sauce until well combined.
- Sift in cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.
- Fold in flour and then chocolate chips, mixing just until combined.
- Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Optionally, drizzle extra fudge sauce on top and swirl lightly with a knife.
- Bake for 45–55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter).
- Cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Serve warm or at room temperature, with additional fudge drizzle if desired.
Notes
- For an even fudgier loaf, warm and swirl additional fudge into the batter before baking.
- Store leftovers tightly wrapped at room temperature for up to 3 days or freeze slices for later.
- Serve with vanilla ice cream for a brownie sundae vibe.
