Description

A rich, ultra-chocolatey quick bread that combines the dense, fudgy texture of brownies with the structure of a loaf cake. Hot Fudge Brownie Bread is swirled with gooey fudge sauce and perfect for dessert or an indulgent snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup hot fudge sauce (plus more for drizzling)
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter and sugar until smooth.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.
  4. Stir in hot fudge sauce until well combined.
  5. Sift in cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.
  6. Fold in flour and then chocolate chips, mixing just until combined.
  7. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Optionally, drizzle extra fudge sauce on top and swirl lightly with a knife.
  8. Bake for 45–55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter).
  9. Cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Serve warm or at room temperature, with additional fudge drizzle if desired.

Notes

  • For an even fudgier loaf, warm and swirl additional fudge into the batter before baking.
  • Store leftovers tightly wrapped at room temperature for up to 3 days or freeze slices for later.
  • Serve with vanilla ice cream for a brownie sundae vibe.
