Description

Honey Soy Crispy Beef and Noodles is a flavorful and satisfying dish featuring tender-crispy strips of beef tossed in a sticky honey soy glaze and served over a bed of noodles with stir-fried vegetables. It’s the perfect balance of sweet, salty, and savory flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 1/3 cup cornstarch
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 8 oz egg noodles or lo mein noodles
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 cup bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 cup snap peas or broccoli florets
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
  • For the Honey Soy Sauce:
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium preferred)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (slurry)

Instructions

  1. Cook noodles according to package instructions. Drain and toss with sesame oil. Set aside.
  2. In a bowl, toss sliced beef with cornstarch, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Heat a large pan or wok with vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Fry the beef in batches until crispy and browned. Drain on paper towels.
  4. In a separate small saucepan, combine soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger. Bring to a simmer, then stir in cornstarch slurry. Cook until thickened, about 2 minutes.
  5. In the same pan used for the beef (wipe out excess oil), stir-fry bell peppers and snap peas for 2–3 minutes until just tender.
  6. Add crispy beef and sauce to the pan and toss to coat evenly.
  7. Serve over noodles, garnish with green onions, and enjoy hot.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, let the coated beef sit for 10–15 minutes before frying.
  • You can substitute beef with chicken or tofu if preferred.
  • Customize the vegetables based on what’s in season or your preference.
