Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 8 oz fettuccine or spaghetti
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Slice chicken breasts in half lengthwise to create thinner cutlets. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Dust with cornstarch.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken for 4–5 minutes per side or until golden and cooked through. Remove from pan and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, reduce heat to low and add honey and crushed red pepper flakes. Stir to combine and return chicken to coat in the glaze. Remove from heat.
  5. In a separate pan, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  6. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese and cook until the sauce thickens slightly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Add cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to coat evenly.
  8. Serve the honey pepper chicken over the creamy garlic butter pasta. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.

Notes

  • Use chicken thighs for a juicier alternative.
  • Add steamed vegetables like broccoli or spinach for extra nutrition.
  • Adjust red pepper flakes for more or less heat.
