Ingredients
Scale
- 4 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces or 170 grams each)
- 1/4 cup honey (85 grams)
- 3 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce (45 milliliters)
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (15 milliliters)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (30 milliliters)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (3 grams)
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (1 gram)
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (4 grams)
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add olive oil, allowing it to warm gently.
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and lemon juice until smooth.
- Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and black pepper.
- Place the salmon skin side down in the heated skillet and cook undisturbed for 4 to 5 minutes until lightly golden.
- Carefully flip the salmon, pour the honey garlic mixture into the pan, and cook for another 3 to 4 minutes while spooning the glaze over the fillets as it thickens.
- Cook until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and the sauce has slightly thickened.
- Remove from heat, sprinkle with chopped parsley, and serve immediately with extra lemon if desired.
Notes
- Spoon the sauce over the salmon repeatedly while cooking for maximum flavor.
- Keep the heat moderate to prevent the honey from burning.
- For extra brightness, add a squeeze of fresh lemon just before serving.
