This homemade tartar sauce is creamy, tangy, and packed with flavor. Perfect for seafood dishes, fries, or as a sandwich spread, it’s easy to make and comes together in just 10 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup dill pickles, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon capers, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the mayonnaise, chopped pickles, capers, parsley, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice.
  2. Stir until the mixture is creamy and all ingredients are well blended.
  3. Add salt and pepper to taste, and mix again.
  4. Transfer the sauce to a serving bowl or container.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to let the flavors meld.
  6. Stir before serving and enjoy with your favorite dishes.

Notes

  • Use full-fat mayo for the best creamy texture.
  • Let the sauce chill before serving for deeper flavor.
  • Adjust lemon juice or mustard to match your taste preference.
