Description

A homemade supreme pizza featuring a soft, chewy dough topped with a medley of meats, vegetables, and cheeses for a flavorful, classic pizza experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • 2 teaspoons granulated sugar or 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 to 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce, or to taste
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 4 ounces ground pork sausage or ground beef, cooked
  • 2 ounces pepperoni, chopped
  • 1 ounce salami, sliced, or other deli meat as desired
  • 1/4 cup diced green bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives
  • 3 tablespoons thinly sliced red onion
  • 2 large mushrooms, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine yeast, sugar (or honey), and warm water. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine 3 cups flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and 2 tablespoons olive oil.
  3. Mix until a dough forms, adding additional flour as needed to achieve a soft, slightly sticky dough.
  4. Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours, or until doubled in size.
  6. Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C). Roll dough into a 12-inch circle or desired shape and transfer to a pizza stone or baking sheet.
  7. Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  8. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses over the sauce.
  9. Evenly distribute cooked sausage, pepperoni, salami, bell pepper, olives, red onion, and mushrooms on top.
  10. Drizzle remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil over the pizza and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
  11. Remove from oven, let cool slightly, slice, and serve.

Notes

  • Use warm water to activate the yeast properly.
  • Knead the dough well for a soft, chewy crust.
  • Customize toppings according to preference.
  • Preheat oven and pizza stone for a crispier crust.
