Description

Soft and fluffy homemade cinnamon twists coated in warm cinnamon sugar, baked until golden and lightly crisp on the outside, perfect for breakfast or a cozy sweet snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 3/4 cup warm milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted and divided
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and granulated sugar. Let sit until foamy.
  3. Add eggs, salt, melted butter, and flour. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead lightly until smooth, then place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until puffy.
  5. Roll dough into a rectangle, brush with butter, and sprinkle evenly with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  6. Fold dough, cut into strips, twist each strip, and place on the baking sheet.
  7. Bake until golden brown, then cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Let the dough rise fully for the softest texture.
  • Do not overbake to keep the twists tender.
  • Serve warm for best flavor.
