Description
A quick and flavorful pasta dish featuring delicate angel hair noodles tossed in a rich garlic butter sauce with fresh parsley and parmesan. Ready in under 20 minutes, it’s perfect for weeknights or dinner parties alike.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz angel hair pasta
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a boil over high heat.
- In a large sauté pan, melt butter with olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.
- Once the water boils, add a generous pinch of salt and cook the angel hair pasta according to the package directions (usually 3–4 minutes). Reserve 1/4 cup of pasta water before draining.
- Add the drained pasta to the garlic butter sauce. Toss to combine, adding reserved pasta water a splash at a time until the sauce clings beautifully.
- Let the pasta and sauce simmer together for 1–2 minutes, allowing the flavors to fully mingle.
- Stir in chopped parsley and half the parmesan. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Plate the pasta and sprinkle with remaining parmesan. Serve hot and fresh.
Notes
- Use fresh garlic for the best flavor and avoid pre-minced versions.
- Reserve pasta water to help the sauce stick to the noodles perfectly.
- Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a spicy variation.
