Description
Gooey Brownie Pie is the ultimate dessert for chocolate lovers — rich, fudgy, and served in a pie crust for the perfect mix of chewy edges and molten center. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for pure indulgence.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Optional: whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for serving
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Place the unbaked pie crust into a 9-inch pie plate. Set aside.
- In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
- Whisk in cocoa powder, flour, and salt until fully combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Pour the brownie mixture into the pie crust and smooth the top.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center is still slightly soft (it will firm up as it cools).
- Let cool for 10–15 minutes before serving. Best enjoyed warm with a scoop of ice cream.
Notes
- Don’t overbake — the gooey center is what makes this pie special.
- Add nuts like chopped pecans or walnuts for extra texture.
- This dessert can be made a day ahead and gently reheated before serving.
