Description

Flaky golden tarts filled with creamy goat cheese, crunchy walnuts, and a hint of honey for a perfectly balanced savory bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 100 grams unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons cold water
  • 150 grams goat cheese
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, roughly chopped
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 large egg, beaten

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C and prepare tart pan.
  2. Mix flour and salt, rub in cold butter until crumbly, then add cold water gradually to form dough.
  3. Roll out dough and press into tart molds evenly.
  4. In a bowl, mix goat cheese, egg, honey, thyme, pepper, and salt. Spoon into tart shells and top with walnuts.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes until golden and set.
  6. Let cool slightly, then drizzle extra honey if desired.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy.

Notes

  • Use cold butter for flaky pastry
  • Toast walnuts lightly for deeper flavor
  • Do not overfill tart shells
