These Garlic Overload Burgers are packed with bold garlic flavor in every bite—juicy patties mixed with fresh garlic, topped with melted cheese, and finished with a rich, creamy garlic burger sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 preferred)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 4 slices cheddar or provolone cheese
- 4 burger buns
- Butter for toasting buns
- Lettuce, tomato, and red onion for topping (optional)
- Creamy Garlic Burger Sauce:
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 cloves garlic, finely grated or minced
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine ground beef, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix gently and form into 4 equal patties.
- Preheat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook patties for 4-5 minutes per side or until desired doneness.
- Place a slice of cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking and cover to melt.
- While burgers cook, whisk together the mayonnaise, garlic, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper to make the garlic sauce.
- Butter and toast the burger buns until golden.
- Assemble burgers: spread garlic sauce on both bun halves, then layer with lettuce, tomato, onion (if using), the cheesy patty, and top bun.
- Serve hot with extra garlic sauce on the side if desired.
Notes
- Roast the garlic for a milder, sweeter flavor in both patties and sauce.
- Use garlic aioli instead of the homemade sauce for a shortcut.
- Pairs well with sweet potato fries or garlic parmesan fries.
