Description

These Garlic Overload Burgers are packed with bold garlic flavor in every bite—juicy patties mixed with fresh garlic, topped with melted cheese, and finished with a rich, creamy garlic burger sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 preferred)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 4 slices cheddar or provolone cheese
  • 4 burger buns
  • Butter for toasting buns
  • Lettuce, tomato, and red onion for topping (optional)
  • Creamy Garlic Burger Sauce:
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely grated or minced
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine ground beef, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix gently and form into 4 equal patties.
  2. Preheat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook patties for 4-5 minutes per side or until desired doneness.
  3. Place a slice of cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking and cover to melt.
  4. While burgers cook, whisk together the mayonnaise, garlic, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper to make the garlic sauce.
  5. Butter and toast the burger buns until golden.
  6. Assemble burgers: spread garlic sauce on both bun halves, then layer with lettuce, tomato, onion (if using), the cheesy patty, and top bun.
  7. Serve hot with extra garlic sauce on the side if desired.

Notes

  • Roast the garlic for a milder, sweeter flavor in both patties and sauce.
  • Use garlic aioli instead of the homemade sauce for a shortcut.
  • Pairs well with sweet potato fries or garlic parmesan fries.
