Description

These Fiery Cajun Shrimp Stuffed Jalapeños are a spicy, creamy, and crowd-pleasing appetizer, perfect for parties or game day snacking. Loaded with bold Cajun shrimp and melty cheese, each bite packs a flavorful punch.

Ingredients

  • Jalapeños: 12 large, halved and deseeded
  • Shrimp: 1 pound, peeled, deveined, and finely chopped
  • Cream Cheese: 8 ounces, softened
  • Shredded Cheddar Cheese: 1 cup
  • Cajun Seasoning: 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic Powder: 1 teaspoon
  • Green Onions: 2, finely chopped
  • Lemon Juice: 1 tablespoon
  • Olive Oil: 1 tablespoon
  • Salt: ½ teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Preheat Your Equipment: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Combine Ingredients: In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped shrimp and sauté with Cajun seasoning and garlic powder for 2–3 minutes until just cooked. Let cool slightly. In a mixing bowl, combine cooked shrimp, cream cheese, cheddar, green onions, lemon juice, and salt.
  3. Prepare Your Cooking Vessel: Place halved and deseeded jalapeños on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Assemble the Dish: Spoon the creamy shrimp mixture into each jalapeño half, mounding slightly.
  5. Cook to Perfection: Bake for 15–18 minutes until the peppers are tender and cheese is bubbly. Broil for the last 1–2 minutes if desired.
  6. Finishing Touches: Let cool for 5 minutes. Garnish with extra green onions or paprika.
  7. Serve and Enjoy: Serve warm and enjoy the spicy, creamy flavor.

Notes

  • Use gloves when handling jalapeños to avoid skin irritation.
  • Don’t overstuff the peppers to prevent splitting.
  • Use a piping bag for cleaner stuffing if desired.
