Description

Ferrero Rocher Cinnamon Rolls are a decadent twist on the classic cinnamon roll, featuring rich, chocolatey hazelnut filling with pieces of Ferrero Rocher chocolates for a luxurious and indulgent treat. These rolls are perfect for special occasions or when you want to treat yourself to something extraordinary.

  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • For the filling:
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 6 Ferrero Rocher chocolates, chopped
  • For the icing:
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • For garnish (optional):
  • Ferrero Rocher chocolates, whole

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Stir and let sit for 5-10 minutes, or until the mixture becomes frothy.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the yeast mixture, melted butter, eggs, flour, and salt. Stir until the dough comes together, then knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  3. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean towel, and let rise in a warm place for 1 to 1 1/2 hours, or until doubled in size.
  4. While the dough is rising, prepare the filling. In a small bowl, combine softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Mix until smooth.
  5. Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a lightly floured surface into a large rectangle (about 12×18 inches).
  6. Spread the cinnamon butter mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Sprinkle the chopped Ferrero Rocher chocolates over the butter mixture.
  7. Roll the dough tightly from the long edge into a log. Slice the log into 12 equal rolls and place them in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  8. Cover the rolls with a towel and let them rise for 30-45 minutes, or until puffy and nearly doubled in size.
  9. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  10. While the rolls are baking, prepare the icing by whisking together powdered sugar, cocoa powder, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth and pourable.
  11. Once the rolls are baked, drizzle the icing over the warm rolls and garnish with whole Ferrero Rocher chocolates if desired.
  12. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • If you prefer a softer texture, cover the rolls with foil during the last 10 minutes of baking.
  • For an extra chocolatey touch, melt a bit of chocolate and drizzle it over the rolls after the icing.
  • These cinnamon rolls are best enjoyed fresh, but leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Reheat in the microwave for a few seconds before serving.
