- 40 saltine crackers
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- Flaky sea salt, for sprinkling
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and line a 9×13 baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
- Arrange saltine crackers in a single layer over the lined sheet.
- In a saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar over medium heat. Stir constantly until mixture comes to a boil. Continue stirring and boil for 3 minutes.
- Pour hot caramel mixture over crackers and spread evenly with a spatula.
- Bake for 5 minutes until caramel bubbles up.
- Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over the top. Let sit for 2–3 minutes to melt.
- Spread melted chocolate evenly across the caramel layer.
- Sprinkle chopped pecans and flaky sea salt on top while chocolate is still warm.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour or until completely set.
- Break into pieces and enjoy or store in an airtight container.
