Description

Crispy, buttery, and chocolatey, this easy cracker toffee with pecans is the ultimate holiday treat. It comes together in minutes and is perfect for gifting or snacking.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 40 saltine crackers
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • Flaky sea salt, for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a 9×13 baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  2. Arrange saltine crackers in a single layer over the lined sheet.
  3. In a saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar over medium heat. Stir constantly until mixture comes to a boil. Continue stirring and boil for 3 minutes.
  4. Pour hot caramel mixture over crackers and spread evenly with a spatula.
  5. Bake for 5 minutes until caramel bubbles up.
  6. Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over the top. Let sit for 2–3 minutes to melt.
  7. Spread melted chocolate evenly across the caramel layer.
  8. Sprinkle chopped pecans and flaky sea salt on top while chocolate is still warm.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour or until completely set.
  10. Break into pieces and enjoy or store in an airtight container.

Notes

  • Line your baking sheet well to prevent sticking.
  • For extra flavor, lightly toast the pecans before adding.
  • Use high-quality chocolate chips for smoother melting.
  • Break into pieces only after it has fully cooled for clean edges.
