Description

Crispy on the outside, gooey and flavorful on the inside, this Crunchy Pepperoni Wrap delivers everything you love about pizza in a handheld, quick-to-make wrap.

Ingredients

  • Large Flour Tortillas: 2 wraps (10-inch size) provide the perfect crisp and foldability.
  • Mozzarella Cheese: 1 cup shredded for melty, stretchy texture and mild creaminess.
  • Pepperoni Slices: 20–24 slices bring bold, spicy richness.
  • Pizza Sauce or Marinara: 4 tablespoons to add zesty, savory depth.
  • Grated Parmesan Cheese: 2 tablespoons for that nutty, salty hit.
  • Dried Oregano: ½ teaspoon to enhance the pizza-like flavor profile.
  • Garlic Powder: ¼ teaspoon adds warmth and complexity.
  • Olive Oil or Butter: 1 tablespoon for pan-toasting and golden crunch.

Instructions

  1. Preheat Your Equipment: Heat a skillet over medium heat and brush it with olive oil or butter.
  2. Combine Ingredients: On a cutting board, layer mozzarella, pepperoni, pizza sauce, oregano, and garlic powder in the center of the tortilla.
  3. Prepare Your Cooking Vessel: Make sure the skillet is evenly heated. A good preheat ensures a golden crust.
  4. Assemble the Dish: Fold the tortilla like a burrito—bottom up, sides in, then roll tightly. Press gently to secure the wrap.
  5. Cook to Perfection: Place the wrap seam-side down in the skillet. Cook for 2–3 minutes on each side until golden and crispy.
  6. Finishing Touches: Sprinkle with grated Parmesan while hot and let it rest for 2 minutes before slicing.
  7. Serve and Enjoy: Slice diagonally and serve with extra marinara or a creamy garlic dip on the side.

Notes

  • Use freshly shredded cheese for better melt and flavor.
  • Don’t overfill the wrap or it may burst during cooking.
  • Wrap tightly in foil for make-ahead lunches or snacks.
