- 1 pound kielbasa sausage, sliced
- 1 ½ pounds fresh green beans, trimmed
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 whole garlic cloves, peeled
- 1 medium yellow onion, sliced
- ½ cup chicken broth
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Lightly grease the slow cooker insert.
- Trim the green beans, slice the kielbasa, and slice the onion.
- Add the green beans to the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Layer the kielbasa, onion, garlic cloves, butter, salt, and black pepper over the green beans.
- Pour the chicken broth evenly over the ingredients.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 to 7 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours, until the green beans are tender.
- Gently stir before serving to coat everything in the buttery broth.
- Serve warm and enjoy.

- Use low sodium chicken broth if you prefer a less salty dish.
- Fresh green beans give the best texture, but frozen can be used if needed.
