Description
Crock Pot Lasagna is a comforting, hands-off version of the classic Italian dish. Layers of seasoned ground beef, ricotta, mozzarella, and lasagna noodles cook slowly in the crock pot, creating a rich and cheesy meal perfect for family dinners.

- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 cup diced yellow onion
- 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- 2 x 600mL jars of tomato pasta sauce (about 40 oz total)
- 16 oz ricotta cheese
- 3 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ⅓ cup shredded parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 15 oz jar alfredo sauce
- 1 lb uncooked regular lasagna noodles
- Optional garnish: fresh chopped parsley
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper until the beef is browned and onion is tender. Drain excess fat.
- Add tomato pasta sauce to the cooked beef and stir to combine.
- In a separate bowl, mix ricotta cheese, 2 cups of shredded mozzarella, parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning.
- Spray the crock pot with cooking spray or lightly grease.
- Spread a thin layer of the meat sauce on the bottom of the crock pot.
- Layer uncooked lasagna noodles over the sauce, breaking them to fit as needed.
- Spread a layer of the ricotta cheese mixture over the noodles, then drizzle some alfredo sauce.
- Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, ending with meat sauce on top. Sprinkle remaining mozzarella cheese over the top.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or on high for 2-3 hours, until noodles are tender and cheese is melted.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving if desired.
Notes
- Use uncooked noodles that fit in your crock pot; break them if necessary.
- Do not remove the lid during cooking to ensure even cooking.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- For a richer flavor, mix some shredded mozzarella into the meat sauce layers.
