Description

Crispy Parmesan Asparagus Sticks are a delicious and healthy snack or side dish. Fresh asparagus spears are coated in a seasoned breadcrumb and Parmesan mixture, then baked until golden and crunchy. Great for dipping or serving with your favorite meals.


Ingredients

  • 1 bunch fresh asparagus, ends trimmed
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Cooking spray or olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil and lightly grease with cooking spray or olive oil.
  2. Set up a breading station with three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with a mixture of panko, Parmesan, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Dip each asparagus spear first in flour, then in egg, then coat with the panko-Parmesan mixture.
  4. Place coated asparagus on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
  5. Lightly spray the tops with cooking spray or drizzle with a little olive oil.
  6. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce (like marinara or ranch).
