- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
- 4 sandwich buns
- 1 cup romaine lettuce, chopped
- 1/4 cup Caesar dressing
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Optional: sliced tomatoes or pickles
Instructions
- Slice chicken breasts horizontally to make thin cutlets.
- Marinate chicken in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Remove chicken from buttermilk, dredge in flour mixture, pressing to coat well.
- Fry chicken cutlets 3–4 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.
- Drain on paper towels.
- Toast sandwich buns lightly.
- Spread Caesar dressing on the bottom buns, layer with lettuce, fried chicken, Parmesan, and optional tomato or pickles.
- Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
Notes
- For a healthier option, bake the chicken instead of frying.
- Add crispy bacon for extra flavor.
- Use homemade Caesar dressing for a fresher taste.
