Description

A rich and comforting creamy spinach mushroom dish made with tender mushrooms, wilted spinach, and a silky parmesan cream sauce that comes together quickly and tastes deeply satisfying.


Ingredients

  • Mushrooms, 450 g, sliced
  • Fresh spinach, 120 g
  • Yellow onion, 1 medium, finely chopped
  • Garlic cloves, 3, minced
  • Unsalted butter, 2 tablespoons
  • Olive oil, 1 tablespoon
  • Heavy cream, 240 ml
  • Grated parmesan cheese, 40 g
  • Salt, 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper, 0.5 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add olive oil and butter and allow them to melt together.
  3. Add the chopped onion and cook for about 3 minutes until soft.
  4. Stir in the garlic and sliced mushrooms, then cook for 6 to 8 minutes until the mushrooms are golden and tender.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream, reduce heat, and let it simmer gently for 5 minutes.
  6. Add the spinach and grated parmesan cheese, stirring until the spinach wilts and the sauce thickens.
  7. Season with salt and black pepper, then serve warm.
