Description

This Creamy Garlic Parmesan Salmon is a rich and flavorful dish that’s perfect for a weeknight dinner yet elegant enough for entertaining. Pan-seared salmon fillets are smothered in a luscious garlic parmesan cream sauce, infused with Italian herbs and a touch of onion for depth.


Ingredients

  • 6 salmon fillets (45 ounces each, skin on or off)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup minced onion
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream or half and half
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning or oregano
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the salmon fillets, skin side down if applicable, and cook for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and just cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. Reduce heat to medium. In the same skillet, add butter and minced onion. Sauté until softened and translucent, about 2–3 minutes.
  4. Add minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Stir in the heavy cream and Italian seasoning. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  6. Whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth.
  7. Return the salmon fillets to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the top. Simmer gently for 2–3 minutes until heated through.
  8. Serve warm with extra sauce spooned over each fillet.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a squeeze of lemon juice to the sauce before serving.
  • Pair with pasta, mashed potatoes, or steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
  • If you prefer a lighter dish, use half and half instead of heavy cream.
