Description

  • 1/4 cup fruit jam or preserves (optional, for layering)
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar (for whipped cream, optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare vanilla custard if making from scratch and allow it to cool completely.
  2. Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  3. In a trifle dish or large glass bowl, layer half of the cake cubes on the bottom.
  4. Spoon a layer of custard over the cake, followed by a layer of mixed fruits.
  5. Repeat layers with remaining cake, custard, and fruit. Add dollops of fruit jam if desired.
