  • 1 1/2 pounds Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup cooked bacon crumbles (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil and butter until melted.
  2. Add Brussels sprouts cut side down. Cook for 6–8 minutes without stirring until golden brown.
  3. Stir in garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat and cook for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until sprouts are tender and sauce has thickened.
  5. Stir in Parmesan cheese, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 1–2 minutes until cheese melts and sauce is creamy.
  6. Top with bacon crumbles if using, and serve warm.
