Description

A crisp and creamy slaw made with shredded cabbage, sweet apples, and a tangy mayo-yogurt dressing. Perfect for picnics, barbecues, or as a refreshing side dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups green cabbage, finely shredded
  • 1 cup red cabbage, shredded
  • 1 cup carrots, julienned or shredded
  • 2 medium apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), julienned
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • ½ teaspoon celery seed
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, Greek yogurt, apple cider vinegar, honey, Dijon mustard, celery seed, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  2. In a large bowl, combine green cabbage, red cabbage, carrots, and apples.
  3. Pour the dressing over the vegetables and toss well until evenly coated.
  4. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving to enhance the flavors.
  5. Serve cold as a side dish or topping.

Notes

  • Use tart apples for the best flavor contrast.
  • Salt cabbage and let it sit before mixing to prevent sogginess.
  • Adjust dressing quantity to your preference for creaminess.
