Description

Cinnamon Roll Apple “Lasagna” is a warm, indulgent dessert that combines buttery cinnamon rolls, sweet apples, and creamy frosting. Layers of diced apples, cinnamon, and chopped rolls create a rich, lasagna-like treat perfect for a festive breakfast or dessert!


Ingredients

  • 2 cans (12.4 oz) cinnamon rolls with frosting
  • 4 apples, peeled, cored, and diced
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch casserole dish.
  2. Open cans of cinnamon rolls. Cut rolls into quarters and evenly layer half of them in bottom of prepared dish.
  3. In a medium saucepan, combine diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and butter. Cook over medium heat for 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently, until apples are tender.
  4. Remove from heat and add vanilla extract. Spread apple mixture evenly over first layer of cinnamon rolls.
  5. Top with remaining quartered rolls.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, until bubbly and rolls are fully cooked.
  7. Remove from oven and drizzle frosting over warm casserole. Serve warm.

Notes

  • For added texture, you can fold in chopped pecans or walnuts.
  • Pair with vanilla ice cream for a decadent twist.
  • Leftovers can be kept in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
