Description

Cinnamon Apple Chips are a healthy and naturally sweet snack made by baking thinly sliced apples until they’re crisp and delicious. Sprinkled with cinnamon, they’re perfect for guilt-free munching or lunchbox treats.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large apples (such as Fuji or Honeycrisp)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon granulated sugar or coconut sugar (for extra sweetness)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 225°F (110°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Wash and core the apples. Slice them very thinly (about 1/8 inch) using a sharp knife or mandoline.
  3. Arrange the apple slices in a single layer on the baking sheets, making sure they don’t overlap.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the cinnamon and sugar (if using). Lightly sprinkle over the apple slices.
  5. Bake for 1.5 to 2 hours, flipping the slices halfway through, until the apples are dry and crisp.
  6. Let cool on the trays—they will continue to crisp as they cool. Store in an airtight container.

Notes

  • Choose firm apples for the best texture when baked.
  • For extra flavor, try adding a pinch of nutmeg or a drizzle of lemon juice before baking.
  • Great as a topping for oatmeal, yogurt, or salads.
