Description

Cilantro-Lime Jalapeño Salsa is a zesty, vibrant green salsa packed with fresh herbs, a spicy kick from jalapeños, and a bright citrusy flavor from lime juice. It’s perfect as a dip for chips or as a topping for tacos, grilled meats, and more.


Ingredients

  • 2 jalapeños, stems removed (seeds removed for less heat)
  • 1 cup fresh cilantro leaves
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 cup chopped white onion
  • 2 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp water (as needed to thin)

Instructions

  1. Add jalapeños, cilantro, garlic, onion, lime juice, olive oil, and salt to a blender or food processor.
  2. Blend until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.
  3. If the salsa is too thick, add water 1 tablespoon at a time to reach desired consistency.
  4. Taste and adjust salt or lime juice as needed.
  5. Serve immediately or chill for 30 minutes to let flavors meld.

Notes

  • Use more or fewer jalapeños depending on your spice preference.
  • Add avocado for a creamier texture.
  • Great as a marinade for chicken or shrimp as well.
