- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (melted)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 4 oz cream cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
- Stir in melted chocolate chips to the wet mixture.
- Fold dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Pour batter into the lined pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes or until set. Let cool completely.
- In a bowl, whip heavy cream and powdered sugar to soft peaks.
- In another bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth.
- Fold whipped cream into the cream cheese gently until combined.
- Spread mousse evenly over the cooled brownie layer.
- Chill for at least 2 hours, then slice and serve.
