Description

Rich and indulgent chocolate lava cakes with a soft baked exterior and a warm molten chocolate center, perfect for an elegant yet easy dessert.


Ingredients

  • 170 g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 113 g unsalted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 100 g granulated sugar
  • 30 g all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C and generously grease two ramekins.
  2. Melt the dark chocolate and unsalted butter together until smooth and glossy.
  3. Stir the granulated sugar and vanilla extract into the chocolate mixture.
  4. In a separate bowl, lightly whisk the eggs until combined.
  5. Fold the eggs into the chocolate mixture, then gently mix in the flour until smooth.
  6. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared ramekins.
  7. Bake for 12 minutes until the edges are set and the center remains soft.
  8. Let the cakes rest for 1 minute, then dust with powdered sugar and serve warm.
