Description

Moist, rich, and deeply chocolatey, this classic Chocolate Bundt Cake delivers a tender crumb and bakery-style aroma, perfect for celebrations or an any-day treat.

Ingredients

  • All-Purpose Flour: 2 1/2 cups
  • Granulated Sugar: 2 cups
  • Unsweetened Cocoa Powder: 3/4 cup
  • Baking Powder: 2 teaspoons
  • Baking Soda: 1 teaspoon
  • Fine Salt: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Unsalted Butter, softened: 1 cup
  • Large Eggs: 3
  • Pure Vanilla Extract: 2 teaspoons
  • Whole Milk: 1 cup
  • Sour Cream: 1/2 cup
  • Hot Brewed Coffee: 1 cup
  • Optional Garnish, Powdered Sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Generously grease and flour a 10 to 12 cup Bundt pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until evenly combined.
  3. In a large bowl, beat softened butter and sugar with an electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy, 2 to 3 minutes.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then blend in vanilla.
  5. Mix in sour cream and milk on low speed until smooth.
  6. With the mixer on low, add dry ingredients in two additions, alternating with hot coffee, beginning and ending with the dry mix. Mix just until combined. Do not overmix.
  7. Pour batter into the prepared Bundt pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake 50 to 55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out mostly clean with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then invert onto a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. Dust with powdered sugar or glaze if desired, slice, and serve.

Notes

  • Use room temperature ingredients for a smooth batter and even rise.
  • High-quality cocoa yields deeper chocolate flavor.
  • Avoid overbaking to keep the crumb moist.
  • Grease every ridge of the Bundt pan thoroughly to prevent sticking.
