Description

Chili Crisp Shrimp is a flavorful and spicy dish featuring succulent shrimp coated in a zesty, crunchy chili crisp sauce. The combination of savory shrimp with the bold, aromatic chili crisp makes for a deliciously addictive meal or appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 teaspoons chili crisp sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup sliced scallions
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
  • Fresh cilantro leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, toss the shrimp with soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, and chili crisp sauce. Let marinate for 10–15 minutes.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and cooked through. Remove shrimp from the pan and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add sesame oil, garlic, and ginger. Sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Add the cooked shrimp back to the pan and toss to coat with the garlic-ginger mixture. Cook for another 1–2 minutes, allowing the shrimp to absorb the flavors.
  5. Remove from heat and sprinkle with sliced scallions and sesame seeds, if using.
  6. Serve warm, garnished with fresh cilantro leaves.

Notes

  • If you prefer more heat, increase the amount of chili crisp sauce or add sliced fresh chili peppers to the dish.
  • Serve with steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal.
  • Feel free to add vegetables like bell peppers or snap peas for extra texture and flavor.
