Description
Chili Crisp Shrimp is a flavorful and spicy dish featuring succulent shrimp coated in a zesty, crunchy chili crisp sauce. The combination of savory shrimp with the bold, aromatic chili crisp makes for a deliciously addictive meal or appetizer.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 teaspoons chili crisp sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1/4 cup sliced scallions
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
- Fresh cilantro leaves for garnish
Instructions
- In a large bowl, toss the shrimp with soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, and chili crisp sauce. Let marinate for 10–15 minutes.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and cooked through. Remove shrimp from the pan and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add sesame oil, garlic, and ginger. Sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the cooked shrimp back to the pan and toss to coat with the garlic-ginger mixture. Cook for another 1–2 minutes, allowing the shrimp to absorb the flavors.
- Remove from heat and sprinkle with sliced scallions and sesame seeds, if using.
- Serve warm, garnished with fresh cilantro leaves.
Notes
- If you prefer more heat, increase the amount of chili crisp sauce or add sliced fresh chili peppers to the dish.
- Serve with steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal.
- Feel free to add vegetables like bell peppers or snap peas for extra texture and flavor.
