Description
A delicious twist on classic chicken parmesan, these chicken meatballs are baked to perfection and topped with marinara sauce and melted mozzarella.
Ingredients

- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp dried basil
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 1/2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Olive oil for greasing
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a baking sheet with olive oil.
- In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, oregano, basil, egg, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into 12-16 meatballs and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until meatballs are golden brown and cooked through.
- While the meatballs are baking, heat marinara sauce in a saucepan over low heat.
- Once the meatballs are done, remove from the oven and spoon a little marinara sauce over each meatball. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve the chicken parm meatballs with extra marinara sauce and garnish with chopped parsley.
Notes
- Serve these meatballs with spaghetti, a side salad, or crusty bread for a complete meal.
- If you prefer a crispy crust, broil the meatballs for the last 2-3 minutes of baking.
- Feel free to substitute ground turkey for the chicken for a leaner version.
