A creamy and cheesy pasta bake made with tortellini, marinara sauce, and melted mozzarella and parmesan cheeses.

- 1 package (9 oz) cheese tortellini
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon fresh basil (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large bowl, mix together marinara sauce, ricotta cheese, mozzarella, parmesan, garlic powder, oregano, and black pepper.
- Stir in the cooked tortellini until evenly coated with the sauce.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and top with extra mozzarella cheese.
- Bake uncovered for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Garnish with fresh basil if desired and serve hot.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, you can add ground meat or sausage to the sauce before mixing with the tortellini.
- Feel free to use a different type of pasta, like rigatoni, for a variation on this dish.
- For a vegetarian version, ensure the tortellini and cheeses are all vegetarian-friendly.
