Ingredients
Scale
- 500g chicken breast, boneless and cut into strips
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon ginger paste
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
- 1 red onion, thinly sliced
- A small bunch of fresh coriander, chopped
- 4 naan or tortilla wraps
Instructions
- Heat your skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- In a bowl, mix yogurt, lemon juice, garlic, ginger, garam masala, cumin, paprika, and salt. Add the chicken strips and coat well. Marinate for at least 30 minutes or overnight.
- Lightly oil the hot skillet to prevent sticking.
- Cook chicken pieces until browned and fully cooked, about 5–6 minutes. Set aside. Lay out your naan or tortilla, sprinkle with cheese, add cooked chicken, red onions, and coriander.
- Fold the wrap and place it back on the skillet. Toast until golden and cheese is melty, about 2–3 minutes per side.
- Slice the wrap diagonally and garnish with extra herbs or a side of yogurt dip.
- Serve warm with a lime wedge and maybe a little chutney or raita on the side.
Notes
- Marinate the chicken overnight for deeper flavor.
- Use a cast iron skillet for crispier wraps.
- Freshly grated cheese melts better than pre-shredded.
