- 150 g (5 oz) garlic and herb cream cheese
- 150 g (5 oz) grated cheddar cheese
- 320 g (11 oz) puff pastry sheet
- 1 egg, beaten OR 1 tbsp milk (for brushing)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface and cut it into 6 equal squares.
- Spread about 1 tablespoon of garlic and herb cream cheese onto the center of each square.
- Place a few asparagus spears diagonally across each square, then sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
- Fold two opposite corners of the pastry over the filling, pressing gently to seal, while leaving the tips of the asparagus visible.
- Brush the pastry with beaten egg or milk for a golden finish.
- Arrange parcels on the prepared baking tray and bake for 18–22 minutes, or until puffed and golden brown.
- Serve warm, as a snack, appetizer, or side dish.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a sprinkle of black pepper or chili flakes before baking.
- These can be assembled ahead of time and baked just before serving.
