Description

Juicy button mushrooms sautéed in a buttery garlic sauce, finished with herbs and a splash of lemon for the perfect savory side dish.


Ingredients

  • Button Mushrooms: 500 grams
  • Unsalted Butter: 3 tablespoons
  • Garlic Cloves: 4, finely minced
  • Olive Oil: 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh Parsley: 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Salt: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black Pepper: 1/4 teaspoon, freshly ground
  • Lemon Juice: 1 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Preheat Your Equipment: Heat your skillet over medium heat for a minute or two until warm.
  2. Combine Ingredients: Add olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter to the skillet. Once the butter is melted and begins to foam, toss in the mushrooms.
  3. Prepare Your Cooking Vessel: Stir occasionally, letting the mushrooms release moisture and begin to brown. Avoid stirring too frequently.
  4. Assemble the Dish: Once the mushrooms start to get color, add the minced garlic and the remaining tablespoon of butter.
  5. Cook to Perfection: Continue cooking for 2–3 more minutes until the garlic is fragrant and the mushrooms are golden brown on the edges.
  6. Finishing Touches: Season with salt, pepper, lemon juice, and stir in the fresh parsley right before turning off the heat.
