Description

A luscious and savory-sweet appetizer featuring creamy burrata served with caramelized roasted plums, toasted pistachios, and fresh thyme—perfect for elegant entertaining or a refined snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 balls of burrata cheese
  • 4 ripe plums, halved and pitted
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/3 cup shelled pistachios, toasted and roughly chopped
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
  • Balsamic glaze, for drizzling (optional)
  • Toasted baguette slices or flatbread, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Place plum halves cut-side up on the sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and honey, then sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  3. Roast for 20–25 minutes, until plums are soft and caramelized.
  4. Place burrata on a serving platter and surround with warm roasted plums.
  5. Sprinkle chopped pistachios and fresh thyme over the top.
  6. Drizzle with balsamic glaze if using, and serve with toasted bread.

Notes

  • Use figs or peaches instead of plums for a seasonal twist.
  • Serve immediately while the plums are warm for the best contrast with the cool burrata.
  • Can be plated individually or as a shared appetizer.
