Description

Brownie Pecan Pie is a rich, indulgent dessert that combines two classics into one irresistible treat. A fudgy brownie layer is topped with a gooey, nutty pecan pie filling, all baked in a flaky pie crust for the ultimate holiday or anytime dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
  • For the Brownie Layer:
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • For the Pecan Pie Topping:
  • 3/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups pecan halves or pieces

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish and crimp the edges. Set aside.
  2. Make the brownie layer: In a bowl, whisk together melted butter, sugars, eggs, cocoa powder, flour, salt, and vanilla until smooth. Spread the brownie batter evenly into the bottom of the prepared pie crust.
  3. Make the pecan topping: In a separate bowl, whisk together corn syrup, brown sugar, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla. Stir in the pecans.
  4. Carefully spoon the pecan mixture over the brownie layer in the pie crust, spreading it evenly.
  5. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is golden and slightly cracked. If the crust browns too quickly, cover the edges with foil.
  6. Cool completely before slicing. Serve as is or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Notes

  • Use dark corn syrup or maple syrup for a deeper flavor twist.
  • Let the pie cool fully to allow layers to set properly before slicing.
  • Can be made a day ahead and stored at room temperature or refrigerated.
