Description

Golden, crispy chicken thighs simmered in a rich and velvety creamy garlic sauce made with butter, parmesan, and fresh herbs. This comforting skillet dinner is bold in flavor, perfectly juicy, and ideal for an easy yet impressive weeknight meal.


Ingredients

  • 6 bone-in skin-on chicken thighs (about 2 pounds)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 5 fresh garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Season the chicken thighs evenly with salt and black pepper on both sides.
  3. Add olive oil to the skillet. Place the chicken skin side down and cook for 6 to 7 minutes until golden brown. Flip and cook another 5 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt the butter. Add minced garlic and cook gently for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
  6. Stir in the heavy cream and grated parmesan cheese. Simmer for 5 to 7 minutes until the sauce begins to thicken.
  7. Return the chicken to the skillet and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes until fully cooked and the sauce thickens further.
  8. Spoon sauce over the chicken, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and serve hot.

  • Pat the chicken dry before cooking to ensure crispy skin.
  • Simmer the sauce gently to prevent the cream from separating.
  • Add a splash of broth when reheating if the sauce thickens too much.
