Description

These chewy brown butter maple blondies are rich, nutty, and full of warm winter flavors. Perfect for cozy nights or holiday treats.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (browned)
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a small saucepan, melt butter and cook until golden brown and fragrant. Let cool slightly.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk browned butter, brown sugar, maple syrup, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Fold dry ingredients into wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Stir in chopped walnuts.
  6. Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden and a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs.
  8. Cool in pan for at least 20 minutes before cutting and serving.

Notes

  • Use real maple syrup for the best flavor.
  • Let butter cool before mixing with eggs to prevent curdling.
  • Toast the walnuts for extra depth.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
