Description

Beefy Tortellini Pasta Bake is a comforting, cheesy casserole featuring tender tortellini, seasoned ground beef, marinara sauce, and melted mozzarella. It’s an easy and hearty dish perfect for weeknight dinners or family meals.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 package (9 oz) cheese tortellini, cooked according to package instructions
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Fresh basil or parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Stir in garlic powder, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper, then pour in the marinara sauce. Let it simmer for 5 minutes to combine the flavors.
  4. In the prepared baking dish, layer the cooked tortellini, followed by the beef and sauce mixture. Top with shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Garnish with fresh chopped basil or parsley before serving.

Notes

  • You can use other types of pasta or even frozen tortellini for this dish.
  • For added richness, mix in a little ricotta or cream cheese before baking.
