- 1 package (9 oz) cheese tortellini, cooked according to package instructions
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Fresh basil or parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in garlic powder, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper, then pour in the marinara sauce. Let it simmer for 5 minutes to combine the flavors.
- In the prepared baking dish, layer the cooked tortellini, followed by the beef and sauce mixture. Top with shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh chopped basil or parsley before serving.
Notes
- You can use other types of pasta or even frozen tortellini for this dish.
- For added richness, mix in a little ricotta or cream cheese before baking.
