Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz rice noodles or egg noodles
- 1 lb beef sirloin or flank steak (thinly sliced)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger (grated)
- 1 red bell pepper (sliced)
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 medium carrot (julienned)
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (for cooking)
- 2 green onions (sliced for garnish)
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (optional, for thickening)
Instructions
- Cook the noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and sesame oil. Set aside.
- Heat 1 tablespoon vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add beef and stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until browned. Remove from the pan and set aside.
- Add the remaining oil to the pan. Stir-fry garlic, ginger, bell pepper, broccoli, and carrot for 3–4 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Return the beef to the pan and add the sauce mixture. Toss well. If you prefer a thicker sauce, add the cornstarch slurry and cook for another 1–2 minutes.
- Add the cooked noodles and toss everything together until evenly coated and heated through.
- Garnish with green onions and serve immediately.
Notes
- Slice the beef thinly against the grain for tenderness.
- You can use any combination of vegetables like snap peas, mushrooms, or baby corn.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
