Description

This quick and flavorful beef and broccoli stir fry combines tender seared beef, vibrant broccoli, and a glossy, savory-sweet sauce that clings to every bite. Perfect for weeknights or meal prep.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb sliced beef (flank or sirloin)
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup water or beef broth

Instructions

  1. Heat your wok or large skillet over medium-high heat until very hot.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch, sesame oil, and water or broth. Set aside.
  3. Add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil to the hot pan. Sear beef in batches for 1–2 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, add remaining oil and toss in broccoli. Stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until bright green. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds more.
  5. Return the beef to the pan, pour in the sauce, and stir everything together. Let it simmer for 2 minutes until sauce thickens.
  6. Toss to coat evenly. Adjust seasoning to taste.
  7. Serve over rice or noodles, garnished as desired.
