- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch pan with parchment paper.
- Mash bananas in a large bowl. Add melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Mix well.
- In a separate bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually stir dry ingredients into wet mixture until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Tap gently to settle.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
- Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Let cool completely before slicing.
Notes
- Use very ripe bananas for the best flavor and moisture.
