Description

A crisp, tangy, and slightly sweet coleslaw made with shredded cabbage, apples, dried cranberries, and a creamy dressing — perfect for picnics, barbecues, or as a refreshing side.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups shredded green cabbage
  • 1 cup shredded red cabbage
  • 1 large apple, julienned or thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/4 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions (optional)
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine shredded green and red cabbage, apple, cranberries, carrots, and green onions.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, honey, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour dressing over the slaw and toss until well combined.
  4. Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving to let flavors meld.
  5. Serve cold as a side dish.

Notes

  • Use a tart apple like Granny Smith for contrast or a sweet one like Fuji for a milder taste.
  • Can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to 2 days.
  • Lighten the dressing with Greek yogurt if preferred.
