Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 medium apples, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Place your skillet in the oven and preheat to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, flour, granulated sugar, salt, cinnamon, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Carefully remove the hot skillet, add 2 tablespoons of butter, and swirl to coat.
  4. Add sliced apples and return to oven for 3–4 minutes to soften.
  5. Pour the batter over the apples without stirring.
  6. Bake for 18–22 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
