Ingredients
Scale
- 6 slices thick-cut bread
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon butter, melted
- Maple syrup, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F for 3–5 minutes.
- In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and sugar until smooth.
- Lightly grease the air fryer basket with cooking spray or melted butter.
- Slice each piece of bread into 3 or 4 sticks. Dip each stick briefly into the egg mixture, allowing excess to drip off.

- Brush with melted butter or sprinkle with extra cinnamon sugar, if desired.
- Serve warm with maple syrup and optional toppings like berries or powdered sugar.
Notes
- Use slightly stale bread for better texture and custard absorption.
- Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket to ensure even cooking.
- Keep cooked batches warm in a low oven while preparing more.
- Freeze leftovers and reheat in the air fryer for quick breakfasts.
