Description
Cheddar Jalapeño Pull Apart Bread is a delicious, cheesy, and slightly spicy bread that’s perfect for sharing. Loaded with melty cheddar cheese and slices of fresh jalapeños, it’s an irresistible appetizer or side dish.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 round loaf of sourdough or artisan bread
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 2–3 fresh jalapeños, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
- Using a serrated knife, carefully cut the bread into a crosshatch pattern, slicing it into 1-inch cubes without cutting all the way through the bottom.
- In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper.
- Gently pull apart the sections of bread and drizzle the garlic butter mixture evenly between the cuts.
- Stuff the shredded cheddar cheese and jalapeño slices into the cracks of the bread, making sure they’re evenly distributed.
- Wrap the bread loosely in foil and bake for 15 minutes. Uncover and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the top is golden and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and serve immediately while hot and gooey.
Notes
- Adjust the number of jalapeños based on your preferred spice level.
- Try adding cooked bacon bits or other cheeses like Monterey Jack for extra flavor.
- Best enjoyed fresh out of the oven, but leftovers can be reheated at 350°F for 5–10 minutes.
